The corrosion protection of metals and metal alloys is discussed in the cited reports in terms of electrochemical concepts, which include metal passivation and cathodic protection. The use of protective coatings and corrosion inhibitors is also discussed. Emphasis is placed on high temperature corrosion in coal gasification environments, as well as molten salt systems.
