Scotch pine and jack pine were the most susceptible of nine pine species exposed to ozone treatment during 70 days of tests. Two-year-old pine seedlings were fumigated at 0.1, 0.2, and 0.3 ppm levels of ozone concentration. The pine species tested were southwestern white, Scotch, eastern white, bristlecone, ponderosa, Austrian, Japanese black, jack, and Japanese white. The most tolerant pines were eastern white and bristlecone.
