Single and double charge exchange cross sections for Ar[sup q+]+H[sub 2] (q=6,7 and 8) from 6 eV to 8 keV

The cross-sections for single and double charge exchange have been measured for Ar[sup q+]+H[sub 2] for q=6, 7 and 8. The single charge exchange cross-section can be modeled by a combination of the Langevin cross-section for the low energy region and the Mueller and Salzborn scaling law for the higher energies. Good agreement was found for charge states 6 and 7, for 8 the experimental data was slightly lower.
