Users seen turning to bi-metallic steam traps

Journal Article · · Energy User News; (United States)
OSTI ID:5511459
Foreign bi-metallic steam traps, which users find more reliable and efficient, are increasing their share of the American market. Domestic firms are responding with their own bi-metallic models. Although some users claim the new traps are not appropriate for some applications, others are replacing their existing traps with bi-metallic ones. Users also disagree on the superiority of foreign models. Several manufacturers describe their products and their applications. A directory lists 31 major suppliers of steam traps and control valves.
