A model of the kinetics of atmospheric corrosion of metals is presented. The study is based on the results of five-year corrosion tests at eight atmospheric stations in Vietnam, with measurements of the meteorological characteristics and the chemical analysis data of the air and the corrosion products with respect to chloride ions and sulfates. The authors calculate the values of the corrosion of St3, St45, zinc, and cadmium for tropical climatic conditions in Vietnam and for regions in central and eastern Europe and find that these regions differ with temperate climates 2-17%.
