Stabilization of pulse delay of YAG:Nd 3+ laser

A simple method of pulse-delay stabilization for a YAG:Nd/sup 3 +/ CW-pulsed laser is described. Delay stabilization is achieved by Q switching of the resonant circuit of the acoustooptic shutter. The delay instability is 3 nsec. For LTI-502 and LTI-702 lasers with stable and unstable resonators, the authors achieved fast 'cut off' of the loss level by direct Q switching of the resonator circuit of the MZ-301 optical shutter.
