Book ·
OSTI ID:5493548

An introductory test dealing with geophysical exploration methods is presented. The ten chapters of the book include an introduction; electrical methods; self potential or spontaneous polarization; induced polarization; gravity methods; magnetic methods; electromagnetic methods; seismic methods; radioactive methods; and well logging techniques. The emphasis of the book is on the physical principles underlying a particular geophysical exploration method used in the field, but some information is included on techniques of interpretation. The techniques discussed are applicable to petroleum and natural gas exploration and to exploration for uranium deposits. (JMT)
