Study of the (d,/sup 9/Be) reaction in /sup 23/Na nuclei at a deuteron energy 13. 6 MeV

Differential cross sections have been measured for the reaction /sup 23/Na(d,/sup 9/Be)/sup 16/O at a deuteron energy 13.6 MeV in the range of angles theta/sub cms/ from 15 to 130/sup 0/. Analysis of the experimental data is carried out in the framework of the theory of direct transfer of quasiclusters in the distorted-wave Born approximation with exact inclusion of the finite interaction radius and recoil, and also on the basis of the Hauser-Feshbach statistical theory. It is shown that the measured angular distributions of /sup 9/Be ions are for the most part satisfactorily described by the theory of direct transfer of the quasiclusters /sup 7/Li and /sup 14/N with allowance for statistical processes. The products of the spectroscopic factors are determined: S16O+/sup 7/LiS9Be..-->..d+/sup 7/Li and S23Na..-->../sup 9/Be+/sup 14/NS16O..-->..d+/sup 14/N. Differential cross sections have been measured for elastic scattering of 13.6-MeV deuterons by /sup 23/Na nuclei in the range of angles theta/sub cms/ from 40 to 130/sup 0/. Analysis of the experimental data is carried out according to the optical model.
