We have carried out a Monte Carlo study of anisotropic 3D uniformly frustrated {ital XY} models, as a model for the type-II high-{ital T}{sub {ital c}} superconductors. Vortex-line-lattice melting, vortex-line cutting, and entanglement have been studied in relation to the superconducting phase transition.
