Book ·
OSTI ID:5456418

Witnesses at a field hearing in Augusta, Maine presented a variety of views on how the proposed Canadian tidal power project in the Bay of Fundy could impact the New England coast. A major concern was the possibility of greater storm damage that would result from shifts in the tidal range. The 13 witnesses represented the tidal-power industry, oceanographic and other research groups, the fishing industry, and state government. Additional environmental impact material submitted for the record follows their testimony. (DCK)
