Enhanced {ital CP} Violation with {ital B}{r_arrow}{ital K D}{sup {ital 0}}({ital K}{anti {ital D}}{sup {ital 0} }) Modes and Extraction of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa Angle {gamma}

The Gronau-London-Wyler method extracts the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa angle {gamma} by measuring B{sup {plus_minus}} decay rates involving D{sup 0}/{anti D}{sup 0} mesons. {ital CP} violation can be greatly enhanced for decays to final states common to both D{sup 0} and {anti D}{sup 0} that are not {ital CP} eigenstates. Large asymmetries are possible for final states f such that D{sup 0}{r_arrow}f is doubly Cabibbo suppressed while {anti D}{sup 0}{r_arrow}f is Cabibbo allowed.
