IBA calculations near the Z = 64 subshell

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:5430964
It has recently been shown that the Z = 64 subshell is important for nuclides with N less than or equal to 88 but disappears as N approaches 90, due to the influence of neutron-proton interactions. IBA-2 calculations, constrained by the effects of the Z = 64 subshell and the microscopic basis of the model, show excellent agreement with experimental energy systematics. The deduced parameters behave as expected from the underlying microscopic description, in contrast with previous studies.
