Superconducting properties of Nb/sub 3/(Al,Ge) prepared by vacuum vapor deposition of the elements

Properties of films of the niobium--aluminum--germanium system prepared by simultaneous deposition of the individual constituents are presented. The optimum superconducting material obtained contains a large fraction of the desired A-15 compound and has an as-deposited critical temperature of over 17.8/sup 0/K.
