The magnetic structure of the tetragonal compound UCo{sub 2}Ge{sub 2} (with the ThCr{sub 2}Si{sub 2}-type crystallographic structure) has been determined by neutron diffraction from a polycrystalline sample. Below {ital T}{sub {ital N}}=175{plus minus}5 K the uranium sublattice becomes antiferromagnetic with a wave vector {bold k}=(0,0,1) and magnetic moments (1.5{plus minus}0.2{mu}{sub {ital B}} at 13 K) along the tetragonal axis.
