Owners of commercial facilities may lease energy-management systems in order to take advantage of the technology at a time when capital and credit are tight. System manufacturers attending the Seventh Energy Technology Conference and Exposition indicated that they will develop leasing arrangements, either setting up their own arrangement or working through outside lessors. Most customers like the positive cash flow that leasing offers, while those with poor credit opportunities see leasing as a viable option and others are attracted by the tax benefits. (DCK)
