Electron impact ionization of singly - and doubly-charged fullerene ions

Ion beams of [ital C][sup q+][sub 60] and [ital C][sup q+][sub 70] fullerene ions and their fragments with [ital q] up to 3 have been extracted from an ECR ion source. The spectrum of reaction products in collisions of C[sup +][sub 60] ions with 200 eV electrons has been recorded. Cross sections for electrons impact ionization C[sup +][sub 60] and C[sup 2]+[sub 60] ions have been measured in a crossed-beams experiment.
