Momentum distribution of quasideuterons in the p-shell of the carbon nucleus

A diffusion chamber in a magnetic field has been used to measure the distribution of events of the reaction ..gamma..+/sup 12/C..-->..p+n+/sup 10/B in the quasideuteron momentum P = k/sub p/+k/sub n/-..omega... Final-state interaction effects have been taken into account. The momentum distribution of quasideuterons in the p-shell of the carbon nucleus is obtained on the assumption of validity of the quasideuteron mechanism.
