Method for controlling an oxygen concentration sensor for sensing an oxygen concentration in an exhaust gas of an internal combustion engine

Patent ·
OSTI ID:5384348

A method for controlling an oxygen concentration sensor used in an air/fuel ratio control system for an internal combustion engine is described. The oxygen concentration sensor includes: an oxygen concentration sensing unit disposed in an exhaust passage of the internal combustion engine, the sensing unit including an oxygen pump element and a sensor cell element which define a diffusion restricted region therebetween, each of the elements including a solid electrolyte member having oxygen permeability and a pair of electrodes sandwiching the electrolyte member therebetween.
