Measurements of thermotransport of hydrogen in niobium and tantalum at high hydrogen concentrations can be interpreted by two different phenomonological equations and heats of transport. Atomistic interpretations of these heats of transport are complicated by a nonconstant activity coefficient that should also involve an atomistic interpretation. Comparison is made with changes in the thermoelectric power of the hydrogen-containing solid solutions.
