Journal Article · · World Oil; (United States)
OSTI ID:5361498
Cementing wells drilled through permafrost has become routine thanks to extensive research into cement blends and casing design. In this installment, thermal properties and compressive strengths of cements used in the Arctic are described, as are their particular applications. Also, methods of protecting surface casing strings from damage caused by internal freezeback are discussed.
