Effects of CO sub 2 solubility in brine on the compositional simulation of CO sub 2 floods

This paper reports that a compositional simulator was modified to account for the effects of brine on CO{sub 2} solubility and aqueous-phase density and viscosity. Simulations of oil displacements using continuous injection of CO{sub 2}, CO{sub 2} slugs, and CO{sub 2} water-alternating-gas (WAG) injection were conducted to determine the effects of brine on the performance of CO{sub 2} EOR processes.
