This handbook has been prepared to provide DOE safeguards and security professionals with citations from relevant US laws, Executive Orders, and other sources. It updates the US Statutes of General Interest to Security Officers in the Atomic Energy Program, of January 1970. It will also prove useful to others who have safeguards and security responsibilities who need to be able to cite the authorities under which the safeguards and security program operates.
