Based on data for insulating [ital n]-type CdSe at temperatures between 0.05 and 4.2 K and magnetic fields above 3 T (up to the highest measured field of 9 T), we demonstrate an empirical relation between the longitudinal and transverse conductivities given by [sigma][sub [ital x][ital y]]=[ital scrAH][sigma][sub [ital x][ital x]][sup 3/2].
