This volume documents how the consumption estimates for the petroleum-refining and coal-products industries were derived. Of the energy consumed in this sector, petroleum refineries account for about 97 percent, while the remainder is distributed among paving, roofing materials, and other miscellaneous petroleum- or coal-products industries.
