Status report on Central Main Power Company's DOE funded feasibility study of the Sears Island Integrated Gasification Combined Cycle Power Plant

A DOE funded study is underway to evaluate the technical and economic feasibility of an Integrated Gasification Combined-cycle (IGCC) power plant on the Sears Island site of the Central Maine Power Company. The study objectives also include development of a plan for constructing and operating the power plant. This paper gives a status report on the work effort at a point midway through the study.
