Neutron-rich Aapprox. =100 nuclei: Nilsson configurations, deformation, pairing reduction

Conference · · AIP Conf. Proc.; (United States)
OSTI ID:5336702
Appropriate Nilsson parameters and deformations for RPA shell model calculations or Aapprox. =100 neutron-rich nuclei are derived. They allow Nilsson orbital assignments even on the basis of gross ..beta..-decay properties. Matching of the Aapprox. =100 and Aapprox. =150 mass regions yields evidence for a local N = 64 subshell. A study of the influence of the pairing strength on quasi-particle configurations indicates a pairing reduction of only 50--60% at Aapprox. =100, in contrast to a recent proposition of total pairing collapse.
