This bill was introduced into the US Senate on March 7, 1991 to provide that federal facilities meet federal and state environmental laws and requirements and to clarify that these facilities must comply with the environmental laws and requirements. This legislation requires that an annual assessment be made of the releases of hazardous substances from each hazardous substance treatment, storage, or disposal facility. Each annual inspection must include an analysis of comprehensive ground water monitoring. The department, agency or instrumentality owning or operating such facility shall reimburse the Environmental Protection Agency for the costs of the inspection of the facility.
