Deepwater production system plays effective role in subsea reentry operations

Combining a satellite well concept with a template system to form a satellite well-cluster arrangement is described. The deepwater subsea production system comprises a predetermined number of individual well clusters each consisting of a template with receptacles for six subsea wells. These clusters are connected to a centrally located riser manifold template by a subsea pipeline, two subsea service lines and a control line. In this manner, the production of a considerable number of subsea wells can be collected at the base of a single production riser system. The production riser is connected to a floating production platform from which the processed fluid is loaded into tankers. (JRD)
