An overview of the world energy-supply outlook emphasizes the significance of finding solutions in which both the public and private sectors can participate. Oil price deregulation, the role of utilities in promoting conservation, natural gas decontrol, reliable nuclear facilities, coal substitution, and the new Energy Security Fund are important parts of the Administration's energy policy. Cooperation between the government and industry is needed to bring new energy technologies and new fuels on line. (DCK)
