H. R. 2392: A Bill to amend section 37 of the Mineral Leasing Act relating to oil shale claims, and for other purposes. Introduced in the Senate of the United States, One Hundred First Congress, First Session, June 8, 1989

Book ·
OSTI ID:5274735
This bill would expedite the determination of validity of all unpatented oil shale claims applied for under the General Mining Act of 1872, so that Federal lands affected could be properly managed for their mineral and other values. It has been found that almost none of the oil shale claims have been developed for their oil shale in the last 69 years. Provisions are described under which a claim can be patented.
