Title: Z/sup 0/Z/sup 0/ and W/sup +/W/sup -/ pair production at supercollider energies

We present the invariant-mass distributions for the production of Z/sup 0/Z/sup 0/ pairs by W/sup +/W/sup -/ and Z/sup 0/Z/sup 0/ fusion at 40 TeV. Results are given for Higgs-boson masses of 0.5 and 1.0 TeV and a rapidity cut eta/sub c/ of 1.5. These calculations, which are performed using the effective-gauge-boson approximation, are compared with the corresponding results for the production of W/sup +/W/sup -/ pairs by the same fusion mechanism. A comparison between the approximate calculation and an exact calculation of Z/sup 0/Z/sup 0/ pair production by W/sup +/W/sup -/ fusion is also presented
