Observation of inverse electroproduction of pions on /sup 12/C at pion energy 164 MeV and determination of the nucleon form factor F/sup V//sub 1/

About 160 events of the inverse electroproduction of pions on the /sup 12/ C nucleus (..pi../sup -12/C..-->..e/sup +/e/sup -/X) at pion kinetic energy 164 MeV have been recorded. The cross section for this reaction for electrons and positrons with energies greater than 60 MeV emitted at angles approx.90/sup 0/ to the pion-beam direction has been measured. The Dirac isovector form factor of the nucleon has been found to be F/sup V//sub 1/ = 1.15 +- 0.09 for the squared timelike 4-momentum transfer k/sup 2/ = 0.055 (GeVc)/sup 2/
