Comparison of different types of fluidized bed operations for hydrogenation and liquefaction of coal

A preliminary engineering and design analysis is made comparing several types of fluidized bed operations including fixed bed fluidized, rotating fluidized cyclone and kiln type beds for coal hydrogenation. In terms of high temperature--short contact time (flash hydrogenation) processes, the rotating fluidized bed has distinct operational advantages.
