This article reviews a senate bill designed to promote the manufacture of automobiles powered by methanol and other alternative fuels. These fuels are considered desirable because they produce lower emissions of nitrogen oxides and hydrocarbons. This legislation has been introduced by John Rockefeller (D-W.
