Analysis of the E 2 transitions between the d +. alpha. cluster states of sup 6 Li with the resonating group method

The reduced {ital E}2-transition probabilities between the {ital d}+{alpha}-cluster states of {sup 6}Li are calculated using the resonating group method. The calculated value of {ital B}({ital E}2;{ital E}{sub 1}{r arrow}{ital E0}) =21.06 fm{sup 4} is consistent with the experiment result of 25.1{plus minus}2.0 fm{sup 4}. It is larger than the calculated values of 12.14, 13.11, and 18.14 fm{sup 4} obtained with a double-well cluster model containing some {ital p}-state, and the value of 13.88 fm{sup 4} obtained with LCCO. The result of {ital B}({ital E}2;{ital E}{sub 3}{r arrow}{ital E0})=9.67 fm{sup 4} agrees with the experimental value of 6.483{plus minus}3.360 fm{sup 4} within the measurement uncertainty.
