The pelletizing of coals of the Baganur deposit in the Mongolian Peoples' Republic

The results are given of investigations to develop a method for obtaining a domestic smokeless fuel from unbriquettable brown coal. The possibility has been shown of producing such a fuel from the semicoke obtained in the highspeed pyrolysis of the Baganur coal of the Mongolian People's Republic, using as binder a heavy fraction of brown-coal tar. By adjusting the final temperature of calcination of the briquettes it is possible to obtain a technological pellitized fuel.
