Experience indicates that abrupt increases in gas-oil ratios are a common occurrence in naturally fractured reservoirs performing below the bubble point. Oil recoveries are usually low and spacing between wells larger than in non-fractured media. This paper presents consistent methods to predict the performance of naturally fractured reservoirs, and compares the results with projections for non-fractured media using hypothetical data. The results compare favorably with the performance of actual naturally fractured reservoirs.
