The magnetic moment of the cascade-zero hyperon (=/sup 0/) has been measured to be -1.236 +- 0.014 nuclear magnetons (nm). In the Neutral Hyperon Beam at Fermilab a quarter of a million =/sup 0/ ..-->.. ..lambda pi../sup 0/ decays were detected, by identifying the subsequent ..lambda.. ..-->.. p..pi../sup -/ and ..pi../sup 0/ ..-->.. 2..gamma.. decays in a multiwire proportional chamber magnetic spectrometer and an array of lead glass. The =/sup 0/'s were produced inclusively by 400 GeV protons, at angles of 0, +-2, +-4, +-7.6, and +-10 mrad, and had momenta between 60 and 380 GeV/c. The measured =/sup 0/ polarization is presented as a function of the transverse momentum of the parent =/sup 0/, for each production angle. The average polarization was -0.108 +- 0.006. This polarization was precessed through angles as large as 320/sup 0/. The helicity of the decay ..lambda.. from the =/sup 0/ ..-->.. ..lambda../sub 0//sup 0/ decay (..cap alpha../sub =/sup 0//) was also measured, giving the value ..cap alpha../sub ..lambda../..cap alpha../sub =/sup 0// = -0.264 +- 0.005. An independent sample of a third of a million inclusively-produced ..lambda..'s gave a new value for the magnetic moment of the lambda hyperon, -0.598 +- 0.015 nm.
