The construction of the Condeep offshore concrete structures is initially carried out on dry land in a building dock. There the base section is built, the lower part of the floating caisson and so much of the caisson walls that make it float with safe margin of freeboard. Deck mating operations, the towing route, and positioning on the site are discussed. (DLC)
