Excited states in /sup 132/Xe have been studied with the reaction /sup 130/Te(..cap alpha..,2n..gamma..)/sup 132/Xe at an incident energy of 26 MeV. Gamma-ray singles spectra, gamma-gamma coincidences and gamma-ray angular distributions have been measured by means of the in-beam technique. On the basis of these measurements the energy level scheme has been established. A new level at 2353.1 keV has been observed. The collectivity of /sup 132/Xe is perturbed by quasiparticle excitation. Two-quasiparticle states have been interpreted as neutron-hole excitation
