Chlorosis of citrus leaves in Florida has been linked to the industrial emissions of superphosphate plants. The investigations which determined the plants to be the source of the problem are described. Laboratory experiments and field experiments which confirmed that fluorides are the immediate cause of the observed chlorosis in citrus are described. 3 references, 1 figure, 1 table.
