Real squashing mode in textures in /sup 3/He-B

The shape of the line of ultrasonic absorption due to the various components of the real squashing mode in textures in /sup 3/He-B is analyzed. The additional splitting of the absorption line for the M = 0 component of the real squashing mode in a magnetic field is explained. The absence of such a splitting for the lines with M = +- 1, +- 2 in a planar geometry is also explained. Structural features in the lines of ultrasonic absorption by various components of the real squashing mode in a rotating cylindrical vessel holding /sup 3/He-B are discussed.
