/sup 13/C-doped diamond: Raman spectra

Journal Article · · J. Appl. Phys.; (United States)

Gem-quality diamonds have been grown with /sup 13/C contents up to 89 at. %. First- and second-order Raman spectra of these crystals indicate that the second-order Raman lines reported for natural diamonds are, indeed, due to carbon lattice modes and not some impurity. Also, the equivalent of a sharp line at 2667 cm/sup -1/ in natural diamonds is present in these /sup 13/C-doped crystals. Other findings are reported.
