PbIn/sub 2/Se/sub 4/-PbGa/sub 2/Se/sub 4/ section of the quasiternary system PbSe-In/sub 2/Se/sub 3/-Ga/sub 2/Se/sub 3/

Using physicochemical analysis methods, the reaction on the PbIn/sub 2/Se/sub 4/-PbGa/sub 2/Se/sub 4/ section of the PbSe-In/sub 2/Se/sub 3/-Ga/sub 2/Se/sub 3/ quasiternary section is investigated and the phase diagram is constructed. It is established that the solid-solubility limit of solid solutions, based on PbIn/sub 2/Se/sub 4/, is 2 mole % PbGa/sub 2/Se/sub 4/ at 300 K. The electrophysical properties of the solid solutions are studied in a wide range of temperatures. Alloys of the solid solutions based on PbIn/sub 2/Se/sub 4/ are p-type semiconductors with an activation energy of electrical conduction equal to 1.22-1.00 eV.
