Development prospects for a number of oil and gas fields in the UK Central North Sea will be improved by Shell/Esso's intention to lay a new gas trunkline from the Fulmar field to St. Fergus in Scotland. The $475-million project is due to start piping gas and gas liquids ashore from the Fulmar oil field in 1986. Associated gas from Britoil's Clyde field will join the system in 1988.
