Research on disposal of municipal refuse, dredge spoil, sewage sludge, and sludges from pollution control in power plants in landfills is covered. Studies on economics, government policies, management, and public health are included. Ground water pollution, land reclamation, gaseous emissions, leachate analyses, landfill liners, esthetics, and monitoring are discussed. Land disposal of hazardous materials is excluded. (This updated bibliography contains 68 abstracts, 35 of which are new entries to the previous edition.)
