Journal Article · · Coke Chem. USSR (Engl. Transl.); (United States)

The benzol division of the by-product coke production plant of the Novolipetsk Metallurgical Association consists of two production lines. The first one was put into use in 1959; it is intended for separating the benzol hydrocarbons from coking gas of batteries 1-4. Two other lines are intended for the recovery of benzene hydrocarbons from coking gas of batteries No. 5-8, to supply feedstock for the naphthalene scrubbers of recovery division No. 2, and the nitrogen-fertilizer plant. The operation of the benzol division is discussed.
