The results are given of analysis of a photograph of the cluster A 2065 obtained with the 2.6-m telescope of the Byurakan Astrophysical Observatory in the photographic band. The magnitudes were integrated down to the isophote corresponding to m/sub pg/ = 25 from a square second of arc. The completeness limit of the sample is 19/sup m/.5, and the number of galaxies down to this limit is 132. The values obtained for the parameters of the Schechter function are a* = -125 and M/sub pg/* = -20.45 and for the Abell function s/sub 1/ = 1.1 and s/sub 2/ = 0.36. Luminosity segregation of the galaxies is observed only within a magnitude of the brightest galaxy. The ellipticities and position angles of the major axes of the galaxies have been determined. The observed ellipticity does not depend on the luminosity, diameter, or position of the galaxy in a cluster. Various statistical criteria reveal that there is a preferred orientation of the major axes. This direction is perpendicular to the orientation of the central double galaxy and to the direction along which the cluster is elongated
