Point defects and transport of matter and charge in non-stoichiometric oxides (II)

After a brief discussion of the relationships between defect equilibria and defect-related properties, experimental data are presented and discussed for the deviation from stoichiometry, {sigma}, the electrical conductivity, a, and the cation tracer diffusivity, D*{sub Me}, in selected oxides: cuprous oxide, Cu{sub 2-{delta}}O, ({delta}), indium oxide, In{sub 2}O{sub 3}, ({delta}), and fayalite, Fe{sub 2}SiO{sub 4-{delta}} ({delta}, D*{sub Fe} and {sigma}).
