Kinetics of the liquid-phase hydrogenation of benzene on rhodium and iridium catalysts

The kinetics of liquid-phase hydrogenation of benzene on rhodium and iridium catalysts containing 5% metal on activated carbon has been investigated. The experiments were carried out in the kinetic region at 0.5-6 MPa and 30-110/sup 0/C. The kinetics are described by the same equation as the reaction on platinum, ruthenium, and palladium catalysts.
